Mixing Contest: Red Hot Chili Peppers

Last November, Grammy winner Andrew Scheps (Green Day, Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Jackson) brought Red Hot Chili Peppers to pureMix. This month, Andrew and Plugin Alliance bring them to our latest Zelab Mixing Contest! pureMix Pro Members get the exclusive opportunity to mix tracks from Red Hot Chili Peppers, just as Andrew did for a chance to win 3 plugins of your choice AND be featured on a live Q&A session with Andrew Scheps in March!
Download the raw stems and give it your best mix! Andrew Scheps will be judging the final 10 mixes.
If you haven't already seen Andrew's tutorial for "Pink As Floyd", be sure to watch it here.
Remember this is a mixing contest, you should use only the tracks provided as the source material (no dance remixes please). You may re-amp, sample replace, edit, mute, parallel process, whatever it takes to achieve a creative and full-sounding mix that keeps the listener engaged. Stay true to the artist's vision to bring out the nuance and details of their production.
This month's Zelab is sponsored by Plugin Alliance, the first place prize is 3 plugins of your choice, second place receives 2 plugins of your choice, third place receieves 1 plugin of your choice.
Le pureMix team has been working hard to get these unique stems from one of the best rock bands in the world. The only downside is that we are limited to the verse and chorus. However, we feel that is plenty to practice and experience what it is like to work with multitracks of this caliber.
Good luck!
